Our Projects
Every year, Film Club Prokuplje implements around ten projects in the fields of culture, youth work, environmental protection, human and minority rights, social inclusion, and international cooperation. Through our activities, we organize film workshops, educational programs, public discussions, screenings, festivals, youth exchanges, and produce educational, documentary, and promotional films that encourage creativity, learning, and active participation in society.
Some of our projects include Express Yourself Through Film, Film for a Culture of Peace, Film Connects Us, Summer Camp for Young People, Different, Yet the Same, Festival of Roma and Serbian Culture, Spreading Creativity, and Children Are Our Greatest Treasure, along with many other local and international initiatives that we successfully implement every year.
Prokuplje Film Festival ProFiFest
Prokuplje Film Festival (ProFiFest) is the flagship project of Film Club Prokuplje and one of the longest-running short film festivals in southern Serbia. For 15 years, the festival has brought together filmmakers, students, film professionals, and audiences from Serbia and abroad, presenting outstanding short fiction, documentary, animated, and experimental films. Alongside film screenings, ProFiFest features workshops, panel discussions, exhibitions, masterclasses, and meetings with filmmakers, creating a unique space for education, cultural exchange, and the promotion of independent cinema.
Today, ProFiFest is recognized as an important regional cultural event that promotes creativity, supports emerging filmmakers, and brings world cinema closer to audiences in Serbia.
Film Production
Over the years, Film Club Prokuplje has produced dozens of short fiction, documentary, educational, and promotional films, many of which have received numerous international awards and recognitions. Our productions have won more than 100 awards and have been officially selected for over 700 film festivals worldwide, reaching audiences across the globe.
Among our most notable productions are the feature fiction film Vasilija the Beautiful, as well as Wheeling, The Penitent in Attempt, Aladdin and the Magic Bin, Peaks of Silence, Miracles Are Possible, My Baby, and many other award-winning films that explore social issues, cultural heritage, environmental protection, and universal human stories through the power of cinema.
Through our films, we strive to tell authentic stories, promote important social values, and encourage dialogue among people, cultures, and communities.
